Dr. Jason Giles, MD, Board Certified Addictionologist
The story of Dr. Jason Giles, MD, begins in Santa Monica, where he was raised. A graduate of UC Berkeley with a degree in molecular biology, he received his medical degree from UC Davis in 1996.
Dr. Giles completed an internship in General Surgery, residency in Anesthesiology and Pain Medicine, and earned board certifications in Anesthesiology and Addiction Medicine. He was a cardiac anesthesiologist and pain specialist, before devoting his full time to Addiction Medicine in 2005.
Back in the anesthesia training days, Dr. Giles sought help for his own struggles with substance use. It is that experience which informs his unique perspective on the medical – and personal – aspects of addiction and its conquest.
