Gavin Pherson, Meditation, Breathwork, Yoga Instructor
Gavin Pherson is a licensed 300RYS Yoga Teacher in the Tantric tradition, a certified Breathwork instructor, and an interfaith meditation teacher. He has been a dedicated yogi since 1999.
Gavin offers intuitive whole-person healing to Oro House Recovery clients through guided meditation sessions, group and individualized yoga instruction, guided pranayama (Breathwork), astrological chart analysis, and spiritual counseling.
He is skilled in working with highly sensitive people, and delights in serving the unique needs of those learning to harness and nurture their emphatic gifts, even if they do not feel like gifts just yet.
Gavin is particularly concerned with teaching yogic practices that are useful for transcending chronic suffering related to substance abuse, depression, anxiety, chronic pain, asthma, PTSD, negative self-talk, screen addiction, spiritual bankruptcy, and grief trauma.
He has been blessed to receive transmissions from an auspicious string of spiritual teachers, including renowned Buddhist master John Daido Loori Roshi, Kundalini yoga celebrity Gurmukh Kaur Khalsa, Tantric master and counterculture figure Baba Bhagavan Das, noted Vipassana teacher George Haas, and Tantric breathwork master Briksha Mahendra.
In addition to his extensive training and experience, he holds a B.A. in Religious Studies from Sarah Lawrence College.
Gavin lives in Topanga, California with his wife and fellow healer, Heidi Pherson.
