Maxine Bahns, MFT, LPCC, has extensive experience working in non-profit organizations with culturally diverse populations.

She has worked with individuals, and young adults from a natural, strength-based, and client-centered approach.

Her clinical experiences include West Valley Counseling in Tarzana, California practicing depth psychology, active imagination, trauma-informed care, and psychodynamic therapy.

She has worked at For the Future and Guiding Our Youth, short-term residential treatment programs working with at-risk foster youth ages 13 to 17 who have experienced loss, neglect, abuse, subsequent substance abuse, PTSD, and trauma.

Maxine has a private practice in Thousand Oaks working with adults with trauma related issues through a person-centered, relational, non-judgmental, and compassionate approach.

Before becoming a therapist, Maxine worked for over 20 years as an actor in the entertainment industry and can personally understand what contributes to depression, anxiety, and a compromised sense of self.
